Lancashire Community Singing Map

The Lancashire Community Singing Map is now live! County of Song has been working alongside the North West Creative Health Associate from the National Centre for Creative Health mapping singing groups across the county to show people how and where they can access a group near to where they live.

Using The Map

Navigate the map like you would any online map.

You can zoom in or out using the ‘+’ symbol and the ‘-‘ symbol, and the hand tool to move through the map. You can click on any of the coloured location pins to find more information about the group, including where they meet, and information we have about session times, how to contact them and what type of music they sing. Alternatively, you can type in to the search bar at the top (the space with the magnifying glass icon next to it). You could use this to look for a place e.g. Ormskirk, a type of music e.g. gospel, or even a day of the week that you have some free time to attend a group.

We’ve also divided singing groups by type so that you can search through the list according to your interest. For example ‘youth choir’, and we have a particular focus on activity that is friendly for people with dementia and their carers, friends and family.

We have chosen not to directly include personal contact information, even when that is publicly available, as this can get out of date quite quickly and to minimise the possibility individuals getting unwanted messages.

We recognise that not everyone will want to use a map or find it the most accessible form to use so you can also download the latest list of Lancashire choirs and singing groups here.

Add Your Singing Group To The Map
