Research & Reports Connecting to Lancashire’s Creative & Cultural Education Offer

“Creating a culture of inclusive opportunity through arts and creativity,”

One of the final reports from the Child of the North 2024/25 campaign by the N8 Research Partnership and the Centre for Young Lives. It calls on the UK government and policymakers to put children first by embedding arts and creativity into education and public services. The report presents evidence showing how access to creative subjects supports wellbeing, strengthens school engagement and social inclusion, and helps equip young people—especially those from disadvantaged backgrounds – with skills and opportunities for future careers. It also offers practical toolkits for schools, health services and local authorities to help turn these recommendations into action
