We’re excited to announce that a second season of The Gathering podcast will return this Autumn starting Friday 16th October 2020.
The Gathering, a podcast for artists and creatives from Arts Lancashire is returning this Autumn. Season 2 starts Friday 16th October.
This Season is all about remaking and remodelling the role and work of artists and creatives in a Covid world, and the practicalities of creating and delivering at a distance.
Quickly and starkly, the age of Covid-19 has magnified the precarious nature of creative work in our county and country like nothing before. For those of us in the arts, it’s hard not to feel powerless right now, yet artists are absolutely crucial to the futures we’re imagining beyond the pandemic. The vibrant society we all want to reinstate can only look, sound and feel that way if it’s full of artists thriving and sharing their creativity.
This series of conversations focuses on how we can start remaking the arts sector in Lancashire. We talk about working within the new restrictions, where the opportunities are, how to rip up the rule book and why it’s more important than ever to ensure that our artistic practice, our places and spaces, and opportunities to make and participate are consistently inclusive and representative.
Join us here on the Arts Lancashire website on the 16th October 2020 to listen in. In the meantime, catch up with The Gathering Season 1 before the new season starts at https://artslancashire.org.uk/thegathering/ and follow Arts Lancashire on Twitter @artslancashire to hear when each new episode of The Gathering goes live.
