The current COVID-19 pandemic has impacted upon all sectors across the economy and policy makers, at local and national level, are keen to find better ways to support the business sector.

The research team, at the University of Central Lancashire, has been commissioned by Nesta: Policy Evidence Centre (PEC), to identify what types of support the creative industries in Lancashire might welcome, and how this might assist business activity across the sector.

The aim is to better understand business preferences amongst the Lancashire creative industries, and to inform the design of practical support that can have a positive impact across the sector.

The project has three parts. This survey is the first and will be followed up by more detailed discussions with those businesses who indicate that they are willing to participate further, along with an optional survey for those employees who would like to participate.

We would, therefore, like to invite you to participate in this project by completing the survey, which has been designed to take no longer than 10 minutes.

All responses are strictly confidential and no individual or business will be identified in the course of the research.

The results of the project will be presented in a report to Nesta (PEC), and will feed into policy consideration at national level, and to the Lancashire Economic Partnership (LEP) at local level, to help in the formulation of local practical support for business. Our findings will additionally be summarised on the research project website and will be presented, depending upon circumstances prevailing at the time, probably via a webinar.

Deadline to take part in the survey: Monday 28 September 2020
