We’re happy to announce that the artist commissions for this year’s Lancashire Arts Exchange programme have now been selected.
We’d like to thank everyone who took the time to apply to this opportunity. We know a lot of time and effort goes into preparing submissions for consideration.
Our intention was to award TWO commissions. However, the applications we received to our open call out in July were so interesting and diverse in their subject matter, approach and use of technology, that we decided to commission FOUR different artworks from four separate artists.
The four selected artists are:
Ali Matthews – an artist working in performance, music and video.
Aunty Social – a Lancashire based grassroots-led community arts organisation.
Chantal Oakes – a multimedia artist, working solo and using community engagement to produce art works.
Krissi Musiol – a deviser, writer and performer.
We can’t wait to share more about their work and where you can engage with it soon. We’ll be releasing this information, as well as further details about the wider Lancashire Arts Exchange programme, in September.
