Heritage Learning Lancashire

Lancashire County Council’s Heritage Learning Lancashire Team brings history to life within museums, schools and the community. The service provides pupils with opportunities to explore and appreciate Lancashire’s rich heritage through access to unique collections and historic sites. It offers high-quality cultural learning in museums across the county, outreach sessions in schools and other venues, and museum loan boxes of historical objects, replicas, and resources across a wide range of subjects. The service also delivers a monthly programme of teacher professional development and collaborates on projects with organisations supporting children and young people, bringing Lancashire’s history to life for all learners.
