Volunteer Opportunity: LANDS Co-Ordinator

LANDS is recruiting for a new Executive Committee member to join the
network as Coordinator.

LANDS (Lancashire Arts Network for Developing Sustainability), which is hosted
by Arts Lancashire is seeking a Coordinator to build its capacity. You will be
passionate about addressing the climate crisis and as part of the network you
will support the arts sector of Lancashire to respond to the present challenges.

This will be a voluntary role, as with all other members of the Executive
Committee, or an investment of staffing capacity from a Lancashire
Organisation. You will help us deliver our mission as a vital programme of
climate action, engagement, advocacy and support for Lancashire artists and
arts organisations.

Our aim is to deliver Climate Justice by working together as a sector to address
the unequal impact of the climate crisis and foster a sustainable creative
community. We will do this by sharing knowledge and best practice across our
local sector about making artistic practice more sustainable as part of a wider
commitment to contribute to Lancashire’s net zero target.

The Coordinator role will –

  • Schedule attend and minute regular Exec meetings which are presently
    every 6 weeks at 10am on Thursday mornings. This schedule can be
    changed if it represents a clash with the applicants’ other commitments.
  • In agreement with the committee, liaise with artists and speakers to
    schedule and administrate a programme of online talks, as well as
    arrange recordings and online content from these talks.
  • Liaise with Arts Lancashire to gather newsletter content.
  • Play an active role in Executive Committee decision-making and
    advocate for the network as appropriate to your own networks.
