We’re Sew Done is a collection of textile art responses to the harassment and threats of violence that women face in public places everyday. Over 20 members of Knittaz with Attitude have created artworks based on real incident reports collected via an online map. In order to retain the important link between the artworks and the locations of the harassment incidents, 48 locations will be assigned a tag or plaque containing a QR code. Once scanned, this code will take the viewer to an online exhibition website where they can see the work that correlates to the location and read about what happened in that place.

A selection of pieces will be on display in The Harris.

Guided walks of a We’re Sew Done temporary outdoor installation on Preston Flag Market will be offered at 11am and 1pm on Thursday 30th September. Meet at The Harris cafe lobby to start your guided walk.

The full We’re Sew Done exhibition is on show at Blackpool Central Library from September to October 2021.
